The collection contains correspondence with performers, owners and members of the Circus Fans Association concerning the survival of the American circus in an era of television, unions and rising labor costs; circus stories; official route statements, 1954-1967; official route cards, 1955-1957; photographs; publications; circus programs, booklets & ephemera, 1930-1963; and a "Vintage Collection," 1911-1961, including a photograph of Emmett Kelly. Many of the photographs are credited to Charles F. Miles. Correspondents include Henry Ringling North.
